Create Your Local Chapter of Stolperstories

Stolperstories is an innovative remembrance initiative that adds a dynamic digital dimension to Stolpersteine, the world's largest decentralised Holocaust memorial.

Generously funded by Claims Conference, this project connects Stolpersteine with detailed stories, micro-archives, and testimonies.

Our goal is to create a shared collection of stories and tours about the lives of the victims and make them accessible to locals and travelers through digital platforms.

Pan-European Effort

Thanks to the substantial support from the Claims Conference, the project is establishing a robust digital foundation capable of integrating various archival materials. This infrastructure supports the development of new and sustaining existing stories and tours, which preserve the memory of Holocaust victims. We are inviting municipal and regional authorities across Europe, especially those in cities where Stolpersteine are installed, to collaborate with us.

Bring your City to the Project

We are inviting municipal departments focused on education, Holocaust remembrance, and digital innovation to participate.

By joining our project, you can create its local chapter that leverages the project's central backbone to enhance educational and remembrance experiences related to the individuals commemorated by Stolpersteine in your city. The project can help you develop custom formats and experiences, potentially incorporating new media technologies like AR.
